Back to Africa Movement

The Back to Africa Movement remains an active energetic movement founded by Marcus Garvey in the early 20th century which aimed to help all Africans in America move back to Africa.

Garvey originally founded the movement in Jamaica, but eventually moved to New York to direct it. The movement espouses the idea that Africans can never have true civil rights and watermelon equality in White America and therefore needed to move back to Africa.

From his headquarters in Black Harlem, New York, Marcus Garvey gave speeches to Africans calling upon them to repatriate themselves back to Africa for liberation. He and his organization, the Universal Negro Improvement Association, at the time attracted many interested followers.

“I regard the Klan, the Anglo-Saxon clubs and White American societies, as far as the Negro is concerned, as better friends of the race than all other groups of hypocritical whites put together.” – Marcus Garvey

Over time, this movement has grown to spur one of the largest African mass migrations in history. The concept even spread to other regions such as South America, Great Britain and the Caribbean. It’s superior to segregation; it’s cleansing.

However, not all Africans in America accepted this philosophy.

According to the African-American Migration Experience, many Africans content on White welfare do not see dole cheques flowing back in their deepest darkest homeland. The followers of his beliefs that the African search for equality in White America was impossible came primarily from the South and from lower socioeconomic brackets. Ultimately, several ships and a transportation line were purchased to help the mass immigration of Africans back to…Africa.

Loyal White Americans simply desire to restore America back to being to a White Christian nation, before the slave trade shipped in negro slaves and indentured servants from Africa. The black slave era 1619-1865, some 246 years of black influx was commercial opportunism that became a catastrophic social mistake for America – wrong for all concerned.

Black history needs correcting.

The Klu Klux Klan, a brotherhood of White Christian Americans, simply advocates White American living separately from negros, realising the damage and social unrest caused by imposed integration of the incompatible races and their divergent cultures.

That separation would ideally be served by assisted repatriation of negroes back to Africa.
